Why write a CV in LaTeX at all
LaTeX CVs are the norm in academia and are common in research-heavy technical fields, because they typeset text with a level of spacing and alignment precision that word processors don’t reliably reproduce, and because many academic CV templates (particularly for postdoc and faculty applications) are distributed as LaTeX source. The tradeoff has always been the learning curve — writing raw LaTeX by hand means learning its syntax before you can produce a page.
This editor removes that barrier: you write your CV visually, the same way as in the regular CV Studio editor, and the tool generates the LaTeX source behind the scenes. You get a live preview as you edit, without needing to know a single LaTeX command.
