CV Studio is a free dashboard for building and organizing multiple versions of your resume in one place. Instead of juggling separate files named “resume_final_v3.docx” across your desktop, you keep every version inside the dashboard, open the visual editor or LaTeX mode to make changes, and download a polished PDF whenever you need one. There is nothing to install and nothing to sign up for. You open the page, start building, and your work is there the next time you come back on the same browser and device.
A single generic resume sent to every employer almost always underperforms one that speaks to the specific role. Job descriptions use different keywords, prioritize different skills, and expect different framing of the same experience, and applicant tracking systems reward resumes that mirror that language. Keeping multiple versions in CV Studio means you can duplicate a base CV, adjust the summary and reorder your skills for one application, then duplicate the original again for the next one, without overwriting the version that already worked.
CV Studio stores your CVs using your browser’s built-in local storage rather than a remote database. That means your data is written to your own computer, not to our servers, and we never see the contents of your resume. The trade-off is that local storage is tied to one browser on one device, so it will not automatically sync to your phone or a different computer, and clearing your browser data will remove it. To protect against that, CV Studio lets you back up any CV as a JSON file with one click. Keep that file somewhere safe and you can re-import it later, move it to another device, or hand it off if you ever switch computers, all without creating an account or trusting a third-party server with your personal information.
CV Studio is the dashboard for every CV you build with the free tools on this site. Each entry is a separate, independently editable resume — the intended workflow is to keep one base CV and duplicate it before applying to a specific role, then tailor the copy’s summary, bullet points and keyword choices to that job description without touching the original. Because everything saves automatically to your browser as you type, there’s no save button to remember and no risk of losing work mid-edit within a session.
Each resume you create here connects to the other tools on the site: open it in the visual editor or the LaTeX editor, run it through the ATS Checker to see what needs fixing, generate a matching cover letter, or check how well it matches a specific job posting in the AI Resume Optimizer. Everything reads from the same underlying resume data, so you fill in your experience once and reuse it across every output format — PDF, Word, plain text, or LaTeX source ready to compile in Overleaf.
